A win is a win. That might have accurately summed up the Rams attitude after the win over the Brien McMahon Senators on Friday night. In a back and forth game, no team claimed dominance over another. The Rams led by as many as five, and the Senators by as many as eight. But the Rams pulled away with a 52-51 victory. The Senators were led by Larry McKinney who had 15 points in the first half and 18 overall. The Rams were led by Zach Allen in his own "flu game" where he battled illness to score 20 points. The Rams take on crosstown rival Darien on Tuesday the 15th at 7pm.
 
The Danbury Hatters got off to a 12-0 lead on the New Canaan Rams early and didn't relent on the way to a 53-44 victory. The Rams couldn't continue the strong defense that had them on a two game winning streak prior to Tuesday's game. The Rams were led offensively by Zach Allen who had 16 and Andrew Read who added 15. The Rams are now 2-4 in the FCIAC and host the Brien McMahon Senators on Frida
 
The Rams hosted defending FCIAC champion Bassick on Friday the 4th. The Rams jumped out to a quick 12-5 lead in the first quarter and held the lead for the majority of the way, on the way to a 61-51 win. The Rams were led in scoring once again by Andrew Read with 17 points. Zach Allen added 16 for the Rams who are now 2-3 in the FCIAC on the season.
 
The Rams picked up their first FCIAC victory with a win over the Eagles at Trumbull High School on January the 2nd. The Rams played stingy defense throughout the game holding the Eagles to just 42 points on the night. The Rams offense was powered by Andrew Read who had 17 for the Rams while Zach Allen added 10. The Rams are now 1-3 in the FCIAC on the season, and will take on defending FCIAC champion Bassick on Friday night in New Canaan. The game tips at 7.
 
The New Canaan Rams traveled to Bridgeport Central to take on the Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers on the 21st of December. The Rams took the lead early but were beaten down the stretch by Central's fast paced transition game. Zach Allen lead the way for the Rams with 15 points while Andrew Read added 12
 
The New Canaan Rams envisioned their home opener going better than a 73-55 loss to FCIAC foe St. Joseph's but turnovers in the first half did the Rams in. The Rams were led by Claude Chandonnet's 13 points while Zach Allen added 10 points as well. The Rams take on the Hilltoppers of Bridgeport Central in Bridgeport on Friday the 21st.
 
The 2012-2013 New Canaan Basketball team will have to wait a little while longer for their first FCIAC win, as they were nabbed by the Harding Presidents on December the 12th. After being tied with the Presidents 27-27 at halftime, Harding jumped out to a lead in the early second half and never relented even against the furious rallies the Rams put together. Andrew Read led the way for the Rams with 22 points, while Zach Allen added 9.
 
The New Canaan Rams Boys Basketball Team will tip off their season on Wednesday against the Harding High School Presidents in Bridgeport. This will commence a new era of Rams Basketball under head coach Mike Evans. Also making their debut are coaches Brian Reaume, Jamal Dunmore, and Brian Livingston. The coaching staff has worked hard with captains Henry Lavieri, Andrew Read, Matt Swift and Chris Dewaele to change the culture of New Canaan Basketball from a disappointing 2011-2012 campaign. The Varsity game will tip at 7, while the J.V. and Freshman games will tip at 5:30 and 4, respectively.
